Nadia Zrelli Ben Hamida, PhD

Nadia Zrelli Ben Hamida, PhD is a Tunisian economist, professor and thought leader. Nadia is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Advanced commercial studies of Carthage with her work focusing on youth unemployment, gender disparities, access to finance and the entrepreneurship ecosystem. She is an advisor to governments, international organizations [and the private sector] on sustainable and inclusive economic development matters. She is a former world bank expert on PPPs and M&E of development projects. Certified from the M&E International Labor Organization program, Nadia is also an alum of the George W. Bush Institute’s “We Lead Scholars” initiative for women leaders from the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan who are advancing economic opportunity for all. She is also a member of the Leadership for Development Network of Stanford University, serves as Chair of the Tunisia Policy Circle. Nadia was a Fulbright Scholar in 2022-23 with the Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity where she researched the international experiences of social entrepreneurship ecosystem development. Nadia is an HDR (tenure) , holds a PhD in Economics in 2014, an MA in Development Economics in 2004, and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Developing an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Program and of the Leadership Academy for Development of the Center of International Private Enterprise (CIPE).
